Jax Gym Training Camp - Lots of Work - Lots of Fun - Lots of New Skills Learned

at camp held at Huff 'n Puff Gym Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 10-12

A three-day intensive gymnastics training camp was held at the Huff 'n Puff Gym for Jax Gymnastics competitive gymnasts and for other gyms in the area who wished to bring their gymnasts to join our team gymnasts.  In the past, Jax Gym has traveled to other areas and states, and this year, the Jax Coaches decided to host our own camp - which, I might add, was a tremendous success.  The camp was attended by over 60 gymnasts from several gyms.

More about the coaches on the next page.

Coach John Laudie, Owner of Edge Gymnastics in Kansas City, has coached many gymnasts to the National Level.  He has coached along side such notable coaches as Bela Karolyi and Steve Nunno.  Coach John worked very hard on bars with all levels of our gymnasts.

Kaitlin was eating lunch in the other room - what is it with gymnastics coaches with names starting with K?  Whatever, we're happy they were coaching at the Jax Gym Camp!

Jax Gym - It's all about learning to be the best you can be - but certainly having fun while you are learning!!!

The Camp began Friday morning at 9:00 and continued that day until 6:00.  Camp fun continued from 7:30 to 9:00 Friday night at the gym's private swimming party at the Splash Zone Pool just across the street from our gym.  The gymnasts enjoyed the relaxing time after a hard day in the gym.  Camp continued on Saturday from 9:00 to 6:00 and then again on Sunday with more training from 9:00 to 11:00 and then awards and fun until 12:00.  Camp was fun for the gymnasts but most of the time was spent working out and learning new skills and perfecting what they already knew.
