Jax Gym Coach Stacy Person organized and ran this highly successful camp.  Visiting Coaches from other areas were Coach "D" Deavera Todd from Atlanta; Coach Valerie Tygart from Northwest Arkansas; Coach Stephanie Morrison from Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Coach Grant Woodridge from Ft Worth, Texas; and Coach Kristina Carpenter, former Jax Gym coach who returned from Spokane, Washington, to help work the camp.

Jax Gym coaches also worked the camp - they were Coaches Kristina Armstrong, Kaitlin Beratto, Anna Bunch, Sara Heil, Jenna Mecca, Johnette Osbon, and Ms. Rachel Wryick, HnP and JDC dance instructor.  The gymnasts were broken into groups and worked on skills for each of the areas, as well as on strengthening and conditioning, dance and trampoline.

Guest Coaches Valerie and Coach D are shown here with Coach Kaitlin and Ms. Rachel is shown in the background.

Coach Stephanie works with the gymnasts on beam - visiting coach Taylor Rai from Flip Flop (former Jax Gym Level Ten gymnast observes

These gymnasts were in the Trampoline gym - they were working not only on learning more about trampoline use to further their tumbling skills, but were also working on strengthening for the different body parts.

This picture was taken on the third day after lunch, but after the youngest gymnasts had gone home so we apologize for not getting a group photo with the youngest gymnasts included.  Does this not look like a fun group, though! The gymnasts had a great time and worked hard on learnng new skills and improving old ones.  Ninety gymnasts attend the two-and a half day camp.  These gymnasts were from home gym, Jax Gym, Flip Flop, Hot Springs, Maumelle Kids, Pinnacle Gymnastics and River Valley Gymnastics.

JAX Gym hosted its fourth annual team gymnastics camp this past week.  This camp was for competitive team gymnasts who wanted to put in hard work and learn new skills for this upcoming season.  The camp focused on drills and exercises to give the gymnasts the building blocks to learn skills for their upcoming season.  Our JAX Gym Coaching Staff was joined by special guest clinicians.

Our JAX Gym Kickoff Summer Gymnastics Camp was for competitive Gymnasts ONLY, Levels One - Ten and Xcel Bronze through Diamond Levels, ages six and up.

Emphasis was placed on individual instruction on all four apparatus, as well as dance, strength, and flexibility.  .  Daily instruction for each camper included an opportunity to learn new skills as well as perfect old ones.
