Jax Gym Hosts a Very Successful

Judges' Cup Competition!!!

Jacksonville Gymnastics, aka Jax Gym, over the weekend of Dec 2 – 4, hosted a three-day meet for 350 Arkansas gymnasts.  The meet was held at Huff ‘n Puff.  This meet is held yearly and hosted by different gyms for the benefit of the Arkansas USAG judges.  The funds go for further training of the Arkansas judges.  The meet also enables the judges to send a team of six Arkansas Level Seven gymnasts to the National Judges Cup Competition, which, this year, will be held the first weekend of January in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  Last year this competition was held in Louisville, Kentucky, and Jax Gym’s own Hannah Sullivan competed for the Arkansas Team.

The meet was called the 2016 Snowflake Magic Arkansas Judges Cup, and gymnasts from seven central Arkansas teams, plus gymnasts from three northern Arkansas teams, competed.  The meet, which began Friday afternoon and ended Sunday evening was a huge success.  Coach Laurel was assisted by the great Jax Gym team coaching staff and Huff ‘n Puff staff, who all worked so very, very hard to make this the success that it was.  Some of the JGPA--the parents support club--also contributed their time, to assist.  We appreciate the support of our gymnastics parents who also contributed their time to help set up and break down the equipment to get the gym back ready for Monday classes.  We also appreciated the food and goodies that were brought in.  The judges expressed their appreciation to us several times for hosting such a great meet.
